Father’s Day Goodies

Surprised once again, Kim and the boys, and girl, got me a Big Green Egg for father’s day.  I’ve been wearing it out and we’ve been eating pretty well lately.  Here are some pictures.  Yes, that’s sea scallops wrapped in bacon, and crab legs, and veggies, and pineapple.  It was as yummy as it looks!

So, I’m in the Atl at Phipps Plaza and can’t decide which will be my next car. The Aston Martin at 215,000 or the Bently at 230,000. Maybe I should put up a poll and let the Internet decide. Nah, who would do something dumb like that?

So we’re at Gary’s Garden center, which is nice enough, but the real news is they are having a sale. And what sale would be complete without live music? And wine? And a grill producing free food? Steak, veggies, pineapple, and of course grilled pound cake! What recession?

Blame it on the Rain

The rain has paused long enough for me to fire up the grill for some Jamaican style jerk tasting pork chops. I’m throwing some black beans, salsa, corn, pineapple and tropical pepper co hot & sweet sauce on top. I have an extra one if anyone wants to come pick it up.

Putting on the Ritz

If you’ve never been to the Ritz Carlton Lodge on Lake Oconee you should save your pennies (thousands of them) and make some reservations. We are here for a meeting / dinner so it’s kind I cheating, but the food is still really good. The salad was excellent, the crab cake was unbelievable, the shrimp and grids were scrumptious, and the chocolate dessert with kaluha ice cream was delightful. This meal was tops – and highly reccommended!

Coaching Advice

Coach came down to visit and get some advice on the 2009 season. I told him to hang in there – it’ll only last 10 weeks then it’s over.
